On graduating, the senior preschool class of 2017 became our first Grade 1 class in 2018. Each year we will be adding a new grade until we have a full primary school up to Grade 7 in 2024.
Serving 25 children and 2 teachers each, the classrooms are bright and stimulating, with magnificent Zambezi River views. We are registered as a private primary school with the Ministry of Education. The curriculum is based on the Zambian syllabus with our own creative additions, moving away from traditional learning by rote and copying, to learning by doing, playing, participating and exploring. 2 literacy teachers focus on improving the literacy levels. We have dedicated art and computer teachers.
Mornings are spent on academic subjects and afternoons on sports, art, the environment and culture. Sounds of drums echo on Friday afternoons as traditional songs, dances and stories are passed down to the next generation.
Midmorning and lunch meals are served by our dedicated team of cooks.
